The objectives of Shawnee Kennel Club are to:
further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs,
to conduct dog shows (performance and conformation) and sanctioned matches under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club,
To devote all profits accruing to the club to the above purposes or to make specific bequests to such ch

To devote all profits accruing to the club to the above purposes or to make specific bequests to such charitable or civic organizations as shall be approved by a majority vote of those in attendance and voting at a club meeting, and under no circumstances to pay a salary, fee, commission or dividend to any member.
The club shall not be conducted or operated for profit and no part of any profits or remainder or residue from dues or donations to the club shall inure to the benefit of any member or individual.

SKC is a not for profit organization. This offers a great community service opportunity. We ask our members to help at shows, as well as with planning and attending our various events throughout the year.
